Places of Interest

Barbados is truly blessed with so many beautiful and important attractions.

If you have never been in a cave before, here is a great chance to see not one but two of them. Animal Flower Cave. and Harrison cave. It has stalagmites and stalactites and the Animal Flower Cave has flowers which grow inside of the cave.Harrison caveone of the most beautiful caves in the world.

Along with caves there are several historic churches around Barbados both in town and in the country side.  The churches date back in the 1600’s when English settlers first arrived in Barbados.

You would also find an interest in the George Washington House located near the Garrison Savannah.

Barbados is one of the countries which have the Concorde. Although the Concorde is retired locals and tourist alike can experience it through simulated flights. The Concorde is located at the Barbados Concorde Experience which is next to the Grantley Adams International Airport.

You can go back in time when you visit the Barbados Museum located near the Garrison Savannah. It is here that you would find many artifacts that date back hundred of years.

If you are interested in nature then the Welchman Hall gully is one you would love. This nature spot is located in the middle of the island in the parish of St.Thomas. It’s a causal walk through the small forest which is very relaxing for most if not all the people who experienced it.

The island’s east coast could not be more different with its windswept, rocky shore that is like Cornwall, without the cold. The beaches around Bathsheba offer some of the best waves for surfers to enjoy. Around Bathsheba would find small shops or what we bajans like to call it “rum shops”. Here is where you can get Guinness or any type of liquor, flying-fish sandwiches, a ham cutter and much more.
